Refresh report is incorrect
When I pick the option to Report missing Project tasks, it often tells me that the summary tasks are missing. However, they are on the schedule.

Vertical link from one page to another
Is it possible to add a connection from a symbol on one page to a symbol on another page?

Logarithmic date headings
I want to try out those new time headings which have part of the date range magnified. I think this will be great for my schedule. What’s the first step?

Toolbar bottom is cut off
My symbol tabs are missing when I select a symbol to modify. I tried rebooting to no avail Please advise.

Date range reset wrong after refresh
I am having issues with the dates after refreshing from the MSP file. My calendar dates in Milestone Pro file are from 2019 thru 2028 (please see below) but after refreshing the file it updates the start and end dates to stay in 2001.
I have to update the start and end date to see the updated schedule. Do you know how can I resolve this?

Symbol text too far away from symbol
My symbol text is spaced too far away from my bar. Can I adjust this?

Entered percent complete changes to different value
When using a Percent Complete SmartColumn, I enter a percent complete value, e.g. 72%, and the value is then displayed as another value, e.g. 80%. Why is that and how can this be corrected?

Make a stacked bar DataGraph with a line
I know how to make stacked bar chart in Milestones Professional, but I am having trouble to add a line in the same chart as below. Is this possible in Milestones Professional? Thanks.

Add pages to the schedule
How do I add a page to my schedule?

Shade individual task rows
I want to add a background color to individual tasks in a column. For example, some of my tasks need to be shaded with a silver background. How do I do this?

Shade multiple rows at one time
Can you tell me if there is a trick to shading multiple rows? I usually end up shading row by row.

Move Milestones to primary monitor
The Milestones application does not open properly. When we attempt to launch it, the application loads briefly and then disappears. When hovering over it in the task bar, it only displays a white screen (see screenshot:).

Freeform text doesn’t stay in place
The Freeform Text Box seems to be floating with different zoom levels. I want the text box aligned to the outer frame but it shifts depending on the zoom level and sometimes goes past the edge.

Get rid of the dates on the symbols
I do not want the date to appear with my symbols. Can I make this go away somehow?

Color code a symbol in a column
I have created a stoplight chart. I want to color code an entry that is in a column. I want the color to be red if it is an internal deliverable and blue if it is an external deliverable. Is this possible?

Only part of schedule appears in PowerPoint
I used the Copy All Pages to PowerPoint feature to get my schedule into PowerPoint. Only part of each page of the schedule appears in PowerPoint. Any ideas?

Move a symbol and keep the same date
When I move symbols to another task row, the dates changes. I want the dates to stay the same when the symbols are rearranged on the schedule. Is there a way to make them stick to their original date?

Rearrange task rows
I want to move tasks on one page over to another page. What’s the procedure?

Force a bar to be on top of another one
I have two bars which partially overlap. How can I force the green bar to be hidden behind the red bar?

Code your Microsoft Project file for fast one page schedules
My Microsoft Project schedule is just unwieldy, about 10,000 tasks. I would like to be able to pick certain tasks that are in Microsoft Project and show ONLY those tasks and group them together in about 5 groups.
Part of the problem is that the tasks aren’t together in Microsoft Project. Is there any way to get these related tasks to appear in a group on my presentation chart?

Make a legend as a group
I would like to make a legend I can just drag around, but the standard legend options aren’t flexible enough for my needs.

Set vertical symbol position via automation
I can’t seem to find a way to set the position of a symbol (upper/middle/lower) via automation. Is there a way to do this?

Work with a schedule with no columns
I am converting my schedule to a “no columns” schedule so that it is more presentable. I have “issues” doing some of the task line tasks I’m used to doing by selecting a task row in the column. For example, I’m having trouble changing the shading of a task row. How do I select a task and then do what I need to do?

Blank symbol in the toolbox
I am sharing my schedule with others. However, when I share the schedule, all of my custom bitmap symbols are missing and show up as blank symbols in the toolbox.

I upgraded to Milestones Professional 2025. My old version (2023) used to put a file with the refreesh results in the Documents folder. It doesn’t seem to be there in 2025.

There is a box on my schedule that I can’t select. I think it’s a text box.

Some bars have the wrong color
Why are the bars below red? Other tasks have the bar color set in the toolbox. I would like them all the same.

Show multiple milestones on a summary bar
I want to be able be able to have multiple milestones summarized on a roll-up summary bar. Additionally, each symbol will be a different color.

Show symbols above or below the bar

How do I add a downward pointing triangle, arrow or other symbol to the toolbox so that when added, it adds the milestone below or above the bar? I want to have a bar with several milestones above it but may also want to show milestones below the bar.

Space symbols without changing date
I have three symbols which are very close to each other. How can I space these symbols without changing their dates?

Add a date below symbol text
I know I can have a symbol date and symbol text displayed with a symbol, separately. Is there a way to show them together? I want the symbol’s date shown right under a line of symbol text. I want them both shown above the symbol.

Add a link
Hey, can I insert a link into my schedule? Does it go in a text box or is there some special vehicle for it?

Draw a bar across a single day
When adding a task bar to the schedule, the start and end symbols are automatically placed in the middle of the day (visually). Is there a way to have the task bar’s endpoints positioned at the very beginning and very end of the day segments, respectively?

Trouble Refreshing or Importing from Project
When I run refresh, there are no updates to my schedule even though I know my Microsoft Project schedule has changed.

Turn off collapse/expand indicators
I would like to turn off the red triangles which appear in my first column to the left of the schedule area. How can I do this?

Freeze the date headings and left column
I have a large schedule that I need to easily scroll through while viewing the columns at the same time. What are my options?

Inactive Microsoft Project tasks
I have tasks marked Inactive in Microsoft Project. When refreshing, I would like to be able to identify any symbols on my Milestones schedule which are linked to tasks which are inactive. How is this accomplished?

Suggested symbols and bars for “Birds on a Wire” charts
I like the “Birds on a Wire” charts I have seen made in PowerPoint. I know these are easier in Milestones. Can you give me a clue how to make mine look like this with Milestones (sample made in PowerPoint)?

Multi-Undo is off warning
On some of my schedules I get this warning. Why is this undo off and how can I turn it back on?

Lines drawn don’t move
I am using lines to separate the rows on my schedule. However, they aren’t moving when I move task rows or insert new ones.

Microsoft Project Add In
Where can I find the Microsoft Project Add-in for Milestones?

Reset startup choices
I’ve inadvertently ‘switched off’ the File Open Dialogue Window (the one where I can select from the various files I’ve worked on). When I now open MSPro, it directly opens the default template file instead of opening the File Open Dialogue Window. Please advise on how to reactivate.

Bars not lining up
Below attached can you please advise how to align the bars properly and alos text on the bars are not vertically middle.

Toolbar bottom is cut off
The top RIbbon where File, Connections, Edit ,Dates Insert, Layout format tabs are goes missing periodically.. How do I ensure that these items are not hidden?
