Is there a way to anchor a freeform text to a symbol or a task row?

Can you tell me how to remove the line in the middle of the bar?  It seems to be at the schedule’s current date.

Best way to set up a schedule for easy updating

What is the best way to approach creating a schedule in Milestones Professional so I can make global changes to symbols and horizontal bars currently on the schedule?

Can’t pick Project file name when refreshing

Usually when I go to refresh a Milestones Professional schedule from Project, I am asked to select the Microsoft Project file name.  I have one schedule (only one!) which never prompts me to select a file and I wonder what’s going on.  Any ideas?

Is there a way to change the height of a row using Milestones Professional Automation?

I am trying to show symbols above a bar, like this example.  Can you tell me what the trick is?

Number of Vertical Links

How many vertical links can start from a single symbol?

For timing charts Heading frequency only goes to 60

We use milestones for schedules and also for machine timing charts. When doing timing charts, we usually use 1 day as equal to 1 second. When cycles are really short, then we use 1 day equal to 1 millisecond, so 1000 days is equal to 1 second. We have a header type (within Date Headings Dialog Box) of Daily 1,2,…30, 31,32,33… Even though the frequency settings allows entry of numbers above 60, it seems to not change anything on the header. So the time breakup in header for frequency of any value above 60 is always 0—-60—120—180…… and is not readable due to everything running together. Is there a way to change this so that the header is 0–250—500—750—1000?

Save version 2021 schedule in an earlier version’s format

My coworkers still have Milestones Professional 2019 and I need to share my schedule with them.  How do I do this?  I have version 2021.

Track deliveries

I have a schedule I am importing from Microsoft Project.  Each time we do a delivery we have a task in Microsoft Project which has the word delivery.  I would like to create a schedule which displays the delivery dates and also shows the total number of deliveries per month.  Is anything like this possible?

Video: Valuesets (1 and 3) and Datagraphs

Using a Type 3 valueset, you can spread column values over the duration of each task, and have them graphed automatically on the bottom of the schedule.

You can also use a Type 1 valueset if you’d like to manually enter data for each date range.

Line thickness in PDF files

Why are the line weights so heavy when creating a PDF?  It really makes the schedule hard to read and is not good for presentations.  Is there something I can do to fix this?

Bar colors change unexpectedly after refresh

I have a schedule with several joined bars.  P3 is supposed to be filled blue but stays white.  Then, after I refresh, the bar for P2 disappears and P3 fills as expected:

Make the schedule more compact
How do I get a multi-page schedule down to one page?

Entered percent complete changes to different value
When using a Percent Complete SmartColumn, I enter a percent complete value, e.g. 72%, and the value is then displayed as another value, e.g. 80%. Why is that and how can this be corrected?

Focus on certain months in a year
Are you able to focus in on certain months within a year, (i.e. – adjust the timescale) so that the timescale will be more compact in outlying years/months granting more space in the area around time now?

Toolbox drawing tools are grayed out
I can’t seem to invoke the “line, box, circle” row in my toolbox. It remains grayed out. What am I doing wrong? I am using the Standard Toolbox view. I really need the “line tool” right now.

Sometimes on a schedule I get this message that pops up multiple times. Is there a way to stop it from popping up and is there any action or format I should be looking at? I click okay each time.

Distorted symbols in PowerPoint

Have a problem when copying a Milestone chart with triangles and other symbols into PowerPoint.

Link a Microsoft Project schedule to my Milestones chart
I generated a Milestones Professional schedule from scratch based on the data in one of my Project Files. (I didn’t import them.) So now that I’ve done this, is there a way to link the symbols on the schedule back to the right tasks in Project so I can later update the Milestones symbols and bars whenever the dates in Project change?

Legend and DataGraph Placement
Is it possible to have a Legend and DataGraph(s) shown at the same time?

Lines on ends of bars not showing
When I print my schedule, the lines at the ends of the bars are missing. What could be causing this? I am using symbol shape #28 (blank symbol). On the screen the bars look fine.

Move a symbol and keep the same date
When I move a symbol to another task row, the date changes. I really don’t want it to change. Is there a way to prevent this?

Move Milestones to primary monitor
I am using Remote Desktop to access my computer at work. Sometimes my Milestones software is not visible. I think it’s because it is on my secondary monitor. Is there any way to force it to my primary monitor for Remote Desktop?
